One of the world's most popular ballets will grace the stage of the Infinite Energy Theater in Duluth this spring when the Northeast Atlanta Ballet performs the classic "Coppelia" as part of their 2017-18 season.

The comedic French ballet, composed by Léo Delibes and first performed in 1870, presents the story of a Coppelia, a magical doll created by Dr. Coppelius, and the man who tries to woo her. The ballet is based in part off of ”Der Sandman" by  E.T. A. Hoffmann, the writer perhaps best-known for another iconic ballet, "The Nutcracker."

"Coppelia" will run for just two performances on Friday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 20 at 3 p.m. Tickets are on sale now right here on AXS. Prices range from $16 to $21.

Northeast Atlanta's Ballet's spring season will also include "Peter Pan" in March.
