In the latest tracking week which will be reflected on the June 13, 2017 chart update, Halsey scores her first No. 1 album on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. It's her second LP and her first since she was a part of the 2016 megahit "Closer" by The Chainsmokers which led the Hot 100 songs chart for 12 weeks. While Hopeless Fountain Kingdom sold well, it also was fueled by streaming units.

Hopeless Fountain Kingdom debuts at No. 1 with 106,000 overall units which includes sales, streaming and track sales data. Of that number, 76,000 were in actual album sales. Halsey becomes the first woman in 2017 to land a No. 1 album on the Top 200 after Lady Gaga debuted at the top in 2016 with Joanne.

Kingdom follows Halsey's debut album Badlands which reached No. 2 in its opening frame moving 115,000 total units. The gap between sales and units was tighter with 97,000 being in pure album sales.

In other chart news, Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. continues to hold at No. 2 on the Top 200 with 73,000 units as it continues to fall another 15 percent.

Tracking runs Friday through Thursday each week and is updated on the following Tuesday's chart.

Halsey will be playing the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, Ga. on Oct 19, 2017, and AXS has tickets here!
