GWINNETT CENTER ANNOUNCES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Duluth, GA., 11/7/13 —Gwinnett Center announced today that they will host the second annual International Film Festival, August 1-3, 2014. This festival will celebrate the efforts of local, independent filmmakers, while providing awareness of filmmakers from across the country and internationally. This festival is open to filmmakers of any age.

The second annual international film festival will offer additional categories, including: family films, and music videos.  Additionally, there will be more dedicated networking events, workshops and panel discussions throughout the festival.

Submissions for the Gwinnett Center International Film Festival open on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. Independent films must be submitted by the filmmaker to www.withoutabox.com. The early-bird deadline is May 26, 2014, and the final deadline for film entry is June 30, 2014.

“I’m excited to host the second annual Gwinnett Center International Film Festival in August 2014,” said Selina Branstetter, Performing Arts Center Manager, “and I am thrilled to be able to continue to grow the festival by adding in more content to the schedule next year.”

Awards will be presented to the most innovative and artistic filmmakers in a variety of categories. There will be a special honor for local, student-made films. All awards will be presented during closing ceremonies on Sunday, August 3, 2014.

One day or weekend passes go on-sale May 2014. Passes range from $8.00 - $15.00 for day passes and $30.00 for weekend passes.
