Georgia Swarm announce 2016 schedule

DULUTH — The National Lacrosse League’s Georgia Swarm announced its 2016 regular season schedule on Tuesday. Georgia will begin its inaugural season in the NLL on New Year’s Day for a 9:30 p.m. road contest against the Colorado Mammoth at Pepsi Center.
The Swarm will host their first home game at Infinite Energy Arena (formerly The Arena at Gwinnett Center) on Saturday, Jan. 9 against the Toronto Rock at 7:05 p.m.
Georgia’s regular season schedule consists of 18 games from early January to late April, and nine home games at Infinite Energy Arena, which will seat 11,500 for Swarm games.
“Our organization is extremely excited to bring the first season of professional lacrosse to Georgia,” Swarm Co-Owner and President Andy Arlotta said. “Fans are going to love attending Swarm games at The Hive with our high-energy in-game entertainment, and the fast-paced action of the NLL. We look forward to seeing everyone at Infinite Energy Arena during our home opener on January 9 for a night of celebration as Swarm lacrosse is introduced to the state of Georgia.”
