Gwinnettians will be able to get into the Christmas spirit early with Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith and the Georgia Symphony Orchestra this November.

“With multiple sellout crowds celebrating the season with them last year, Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith join Christmas tours have become some of the most anticipated holiday events of the season,” according to a press release.

The pair will bring that tour to the Infinite Energy Arena on Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. They’ll also be joined by Republic recording artist Jordan Smith, winner of Season 9 of NBC’s “The Voice.”

“I’m so looking forward to hitting the road again this year with Michael and Amy,” Jordan Smith said. “It is always an honor to share the stage with these two legendary performers who are also such special people. This show has become one of my favorite Christmas traditions.”

The show is expected to highlight selections from all three artists’ “expansive Christmas repertoires,” including songs from Grant’s Tennessee Christmas, Michael Smith’s The Spirit of Christmas and Jordan Smith’s ‘Tis the Season.

The Georgia Symphony Orchestra will also take the stage under the direction of Musical Director and Conductor David Hamilton to complete the Christmas concert.

But Michael Smith and Grant are bringing more than their holiday music to Duluth. The pair will also meet with as many as 200 people to talk to them about sponsoring a child through Compassion International, a Christian ministry that connects impoverished children with people ready to help.

“Amy and I have both sponsored children through Compassion International literally for decades,” said Michael Smith. “So I’m especially excited that we are using our time before the show to meet people who sponsor Compassion children. It seems like such a great opportunity — especially this time of the year.

The meet and greet will involve both information about Compassion’s ministry and photo opportunity with the artists. To sign up, visit www.meetamyandmichael.com.
