American Idol auditions coming to Gwinnett

Aspiring musicians in Gwinnett and around the region should mark July 26 on their calendars: American Idol auditions are coming to The Arena at Gwinnett Center.
Gwinnett is one of six locations to be selected to host auditions for Season 13 of popular reality-singing television competition on Fox. Registration is scheduled to be on July 25, and the auditions are scheduled to start at 8 a.m. on July 26.

Last season, Suwanee resident and North Gwinnett High student Alexa Gilomen advanced to Hollywood on the show, while Collins Hill High graduate Matheus Fernandes was also a featured participant.
Snellville native Diana DeGarmo was runnerup on the show in 2004.
